Sachsenhausen

Me and Cass went on a tour today to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp just outside of Berlin.

The sign on the gate, part propaganda and part cruel joke, that the prisoners see before they enter the camp  translates as "work sets you free." Dante saw a more apt sign on the Gates of Hell, "Abandon all hope - You Who Enter Here."
